LA GRIETA is a creative documentary that uses narrative tools from fiction filmmaking to tell the story of how state violence against students at the National University of Colombia contributed to fracturing the nation's project for public education, and how the university went from being an architectural and urbanistic reference to becoming a pantheon of murdered students. Through the story of five ghosts that roam the university, the film reveals the long and violent conflict between students and the state, a conflict that turned the campus of the National University into a scene of student insurrection.
